The Jackson District Library presents psychic Janet Alm, who will share stories of her many fascinating and loving spirit experiences and will teach techniques you can use to communicate with your own loved ones on the Other Side.  Afterward, she will sell and sign copies of her book, Woo-Woo: Becoming a Psychic at Fifty. 

    Now that Oscar frenzy is over, may we recommend an older picture that deserves to be remembered, watched again, and shared with the younger generation?  Winner of eight Academy awards including Best Picture, Gandhi is a gripping portrayal of one of the 20th Century's civil rights leaders.  Gandhi was a pioneer who promoted resistance through mass nonviolent civil disobedience or nonviolent noncooperation.
