"State of Unions" is November JXN Community Forum topic!
The forum will be a panel discussion on some of the trends and challenges facing unions today, including the proposed "right to work" legislation. Panelists will be: John P. Beck, Director, Labor Education Program at Michigan State University; Howard F. Gordon, Staff Attorney with SEIU: Jim Pedersen, UAW National Community Action Program and Pam Schultz, President of the Jackson County Education Association. The public is invited to share in the discussion.
Michigan's Coordinated Access to Food for the Elderly (MiCAFE) assists older adults (60 and older) to make ends meet by applying for help to pay their bills. Lindsay René Felsing from Elder Law of Michigan, Inc. will be explaining the services offered by this program and answering questions.
