Remembering Jacobson’s

featuring Bruce Allen Kopytek

If you enjoyed shopping at Jacobson’s or savored the exhilaration of receiving a gift in the silver box at Christmas, birthdays or other occasions, then you won’t want to miss this special tea. Bruce Allen Kopytek, author of Jacobson’s, I Miss It So, is coming to JDL on Saturday, June 23, at 2:00 p.m. for an afternoon tea, book talk and signing. The event will be held in the Carnegie’s Clare H. Sergeant Auditorium.

Doing the majority of his research at JDL, Ella Sharp Museum of Art and History, Jackson Genealogical Society, and other libraries around the state, Kopytek gathered news clips, reproduced articles, and watched videos to acquire the information needed to complete his book.

You will find Bruce to be a delightful, passionate speaker and an extremely thorough department store historian. Hope to see you there!
