"State of Unions" is November JXN Community Forum topic!
The forum will be a panel discussion on some of the trends and challenges facing unions today, including the proposed "right to work" legislation. Panelists will be: John P. Beck, Director, Labor Education Program at Michigan State University; Howard F. Gordon, Staff Attorney with SEIU: Jim Pedersen, UAW National Community Action Program and Pam Schultz, President of the Jackson County Education Association. The public is invited to share in the discussion.
JXN Community Forums are free and open programs to encourage dialogue about challenging issues of our day. The series is sponsored by the Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty and the Jackson District Library. Childcare may be available for a modest donation - call 817-0940 to RSVP for childcare.
