November 5, 2011, 10:00-12 noon: Mr. Ernest Floeter, German Wehrmacht (Army). Mr. Floeter was in Normandy when the Allied invasion of Europe took place on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He tried to survive on his own for about two weeks but was taken as a POW and sent tot he USA for two years. He also talks about living in the Russian sector of Berlin for seven years after the war.
These are a series of free programs coordinated and presented by Larry Martin and sponsored by the Jackson District Library. They take place at the First United Methodist Church, 275 W. Michigan Ave, Jackson - right across the street from the Carnegie Library. Refreshments will be provided.
