From the JDL home page http://www.myjdl.com 

Click the catalog tab at the top of the page. 

 Click the JDL Logo from just below “search the Jackson District library catalog”

Log in by entering your JDL library card barcode and pin. 

Click on log in to my account.

Enter what you are searching for in the quick search bar,

Select how you want to search

(word or phrase, author, title, subject, periodical title. 

Click search

You should get a list of items 

Click place hold beside the item you want   OR

Clicking on details will give you more information about the item.  

 Click place hold on the right side of the screen.

A place hold window comes up.  

Select from the drop down menu where you want to pick up the item.

Click place hold

Click ok

Your hold has been placed and the library will call you when the book is ready.
