This story written in the form of letters to and from various characters is a delight.  It is set in London and Guernsey right after World War II.

Juliet Ashton, a writer, who wrote a newspaper column during the war, is looking for a subject of her next book.   She somehow begins corresponding with a man she has never met from Guernsey.
The whole book is written in the form of letters between various character, Through these correspondence, she and I were drawn into the lives of this man and his friends.
