I liked this book. I would give it 3 1/2 stars.

It is much shorter than other Landvik books I have read (223     pages, I was able to read it in less than a day).

It was a little confusing at first. The entire book is written as e-mails to and from various people, and it took a few chapters to be able to figure out who they all were.

I have read a few reviews that were negative, some didn't like the format of e-mails, some said it lacked character development.  Maybe but  I was "schnizzlboggled", it was light and fun and an easy enjoyable read, I felt good when I was finished.

As Landvik says on her page “It's a fun, fast read, but there's some sadness and melancholia too — after all, it is about the holidays!”

The original title according to Landvik's web page was The Heiress, the Cowboy, the Nanny and The Buzz . The heiress finds solace and comfort in “booze and bad behavior” the buzz is a tabloid writer who makes his living make snide remarks in a tabloid. The cowboy and the Nanny well you'll have to read the book to find out.

In the book jacket the author wishes everyone “...a renewed commitment to fun” You can check out her page for her explanation of what she means.
