Following an unexpected cancellation last month, the Jane Austen* Book Club is back next Monday, Oct. 13th at 6:30 pm in the McIntyre Room/ Carnegie building. We will be continuing our look at "Lady Susan", Austen's epistolary novel, published after her death. If you haven't read the book, don't worry. We will have copies of the pages for you to read at the meeting. Tea and cookies will be served.
If you are an Austen or Regency fan, or an Anglophile and you haven't tried a meeting of the Jane Austen Book Club, we warmly invite you to join us next Monday. We will be setting the agenda for the next year and would appreciate your input!
* Jane Austen (16 December 1775 – 18 July 1817) was an English novelist whose realism, biting social commentary and masterful use of free indirect speech, burlesque and irony have earned her a place as one of the most widely read and best-loved writers in English Literature.
