The Jackson District Library has more new music; what a great source for all kinds of entertainment and information! Visit this week to try out some really hot new music, such as these:
The new album from 3 Doors Down contains one of the big hits of the year, “It’s not my time.” The band found inspiration while secluded together in a Tennessee farmhouse and then an Orlando mansion. Classified as alternative metal or post grunge, this five-member band from Mississippi wrote all the songs on the new disc. 3DD’s Brad Arnold says we “got our grit back.”
Girl band famous from season three of MTV’s “Making the Band”, Danity Kane, has released a second album, Welcome to the dollhouse. Reviews are pretty good, although many fans of the first album are somewhat disappointed in the sound. Newcomers are pleased, however, and enjoy the mix of styles—from pop to R & B.
R &B singer Keith Sweat has come back to center stage with a winner album: Just me. If you’re looking for romantic background music or something to set the mood, this one is the one. Master of the soul jam, the deep soul grooves? Just maybe, he is.
Weezer has a new album out—the third one they have self-named, but evidently fans are calling it the “Red Album,” for reasons you can see in the jacket pic. Promoted as their experimental album, one reviewer labels it “generally inspired messing around.”
The variety of these four CD’s shows the wide range of music available at your library. Don’t forget to stop by the music section when you’re in!
