Okay, so we have many teens and 'tweens (don't you hate that term?) at our branch, especially after school. And that's good! True, most of the them go immediately to the computers and/or the dvd's but, they're in the library! While waiting for their computer time many just sit around not knowing what to do. (?) So I keep a revolving selection of nonfiction books on the table to, hopefully, entice them. When you are an avid reader you can't believe that someone else really doesn't want to read. Yesterday a young man came in to pick up a book (!) he's requested- the latest in a fantasy series. He was so excited to have that book that he wanted to open it and begin reading right there! I know the feeling! There are young readers out there...
