How do I reserve a book/material?

You can reserve a book using the Jackson District Library on-line catalog here.

Search our catalog for the material you are seeking. Once located hit the "Request Item " button or clicking "Request Copy" next to the item in the list. The web site will now require you to login by typing in the 14 digit bar code number that appears on your library card. Type in your PIN number that you received at the time you got your library card (if you do not have one or can not remember your PIN please call the library for assistance) then click the “Login” button.

You will get a request conformation page, use the drop down box to pick the library branch you want to pick your material up at then hit the "Request" button. You may now logout of your account or return to searching.

If you can not find the material you are looking for in our catalog you can search Melcat (The Michigan eLibrary). If you still can not find it, search Worldcat.
