Book Renewal FAQS

Renewing your books online - You may renew your books up to a maximum of 2 times if the following:

-If there are no holds currently waiting.

-If you have more than the maximum outstanding fine.

-If you have 3 claims returned.

-If they are not currently overdue.

-If you have more than 10 items overdue currently.

-If you have all ready used your maximum of 2 renewals.

Start by logging in to your personal library account here. This is the Jackson District Library catalog. Login by typing in the 14 digit barcode number that appears on your library card. Type in your PIN number that you received at the time you got your library card (if you do not have one or can not remember your PIN please call the library for assistance) then click the “Login” button.

Once you are logged in click the “Checked Out” tab. You may now renew all books by clicking the empty box on the top left of the list, then click on "Renew" button. The new due dates will be displayed and/or there will be an error message above the title.

To renew books individually, click the empty box beside each title, and then click on "Renew" button. The new due date will be displayed and/or there will be an error message above the title.

Remember to log out after you are finished with your account.

Renew your book at the library - Renewing your Library materials may also be made in person at any location of the Jackson District Library or by phone.

* New release movies and videos may not be renewed online
