Branch History

In 1965 three residents of the Spring Arbor community approached the Jackson County Library about starting a library in Spring Arbor.

A corner of the fire station, behind the fire trucks, was the library’s location until 1982 when the township built a new office and the library moved in. When a new firehouse was built in 1992 the library moved back to the fire barn without the trucks, sirens, water, and cold.
